"That, and they're evil. Evil apples..." John replied with a grin, before he placed the other fruits into his jacket pocket again, leaving his hands in there, just because hands in his long brown jacket pockets was more comfortable. Apples were always evil, well, they weren't always evil. Ever since they were doctor repellant they became evil. "Who would ever want to keep the doctor away? I could be the next Ian, which would be quite amazing. Professor at a school travelling around with the doctor before coming back and living on in the world. I dunno if I would be able to stop and return to real life, because who could really do such a thing after seeing all of space and time? Just think of what my friends would say when I came back ten years older than, what seems to be them, the next day. That would take a lot of explaining and the truth, that would get me thrown into an asylum, that would." He took a breathe and glowed with his grin that had faded because he was talking.
"Well, Piper Tyler," John joked, though was talking as though he had took her comment offensively, "I have travelled the world at least, or a good chunk of it. And I hope to explore other worlds eventually, given my cleverness, I could travel forward in time where us apes are travelling around, and take a ship and call her TARDIS. I'll steal my TARDIS!" Well, that was just a dream, actually, but that didn't mean that he couldn't hope, right? The Earth was large, but he had explored most of the world already, learned a lot of what he could, discovered species very few ever even knew existed. He'd been to the bottom of the ocean at one point, though he nearly died down there when he encountered unfriendly fish. He survived, but just barely. Talk about a nice rush. "I do?" John asked happily, "Never noticed it before. Interesting..." Maybe he should pay more attention to that. Or he could die from suffocation just because he was talking too much. That would be a sad way to go... though falling over a brick would be worse, and more embarrassing. Depending on the brick.
"Magic does to! Though it only exists if you believe it to," John answered shaking his head, knowing it did, but she didn't know because she was most definitely a muggle, who did not know anything of their world. At that moment, he began connecting the dots how he might go into outer space. No one had ever tried to apparate there, did they? Maybe he could work on how he could do that. A bubble head charm, apparate to the moon, maybe eventually he could learn how to apparate through time. He doubted it, but that was a fairly interesting thought. No one he knew had ever even thought of apparating off of Earth, or through time, or anything. Maybe he could create something that untethered him from time, then he could do so. But untethering from time is impossible... probably. So there was still hope, and now he was getting fairly excited about it. That would be just brilliant! "Magic is one's imagination, the things one can do, the things they can do that others cannot. The belief that anything can happen. If I believe I can fly, as long as I don't act stupid, I can eventually fly, and look planes came, we can fly. Gliders, we can glide. It's an offshoot of science, magic is. Magic is simply amazing, and few actually believe in it." He really hoped he wouldn't get in trouble from the ministry for that, but he didn't believe so. He didn't show her anything or do anything that would make them even know. "And I like showing off, thank you very much."
"You really would?" John asked excitedly, "Oh, that would be just brilliant! Though I haven't got the universe travelling down, working on that. I could show you the heart of the Amazon, the bottom of the ocean, the deserts of the world, if you want." John was being serious at that. He always wanted someone to travel with, because travelling alone was just so... lonely. "And... you could visit your mum anytime, and I can get enough money for her each time we come back." John missed travelling, and wanted to go around again with someone. And the Earth was like many different planets. There were people that stayed away from the rest of the world, creatures they never had seen before. And there were creatures she didn't know existed - merpeople, dragons, giants, unicorns - there was a whole world he could show her and teach her about. And he just met her, but there was something that made him want to show her everything he knew. "Good. Hope she won't slap me... that wouldn't be good." Slapping hurt, all the time.
"Oh yes. I am from 1987, and the doctor is on his 7th regeneration," John said, knowing she would find it a joke, while actually be the truth, "Nah, I can tell you I'm twenty, nearly twenty-one, mind you, and I have travelled the world, and know things that no one else knows about, like..." John leaned in and whispered in her ear, "In the Amazon, there is this village of people, and they don't know what's on the outside world; didn't believe me when I told them." He leaned back up, and smiled, his teeth showing a bit. He took out a strawberry from his pocket and quickly ate it. "People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually from a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint - it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly... time-y wimey... stuff. Meaning... time can always be rewritten."
"Just Doctor Who famous," John replied with a laugh. In fact, he was meaning to find William Hartnell before he died at the end of April this year. Which was soon. "The only reason I began wanting to be an actor was because of Doctor Who, and I've done nothing really acting, and I'm a bit busy to do anything else, teaching and travelling, quite a busy life I have. Plus, not ginger, I'd have to be a sad doctor because of that." Oh, only if he were ginger. He wanted to be a ginger even before Doctor Who; his mum was one, just not him. He, unfortunately, got his father's hair. Stupid brown blob of amazing hair.
"Oh yes I can," John replied quite seriously, "I will always try to save those I can. If I have a chance of saving someone, I will do my best to save them. You see, there is a man on the loose, and the bobbies don't know about him. He's been causing things like this. Those who are after him are losing; you have to try your best to save as many as you can. Danger is just a part of it. If I die, then I know I died trying to save people, instead of hurt people." Like he had when he was little and killed his parents. But he had sealed that away into his hidden memory, never wanting to think of it again, but it was a driving force behind the way he wanted to save people from dying. "People die everyday, but not as many people have to die every day if I have something to say about it." He began running towards the building that had exploded, his hand in hers, but loose enough that she could let go and run away if she wanted to. He preferred his hand with hers, and it made him feel not so lonely.
