Making The Name Immortal [open]

[Remus John Lupin]

Sirius was running as fast as he could from Filch, who had caught him setting up their latest prank in the basements. At least he managed to finish it, and Filch had neglected to take it down, more worried about catching Sirius Black. Sirius ran all the way to the Great Hall where James, Remus and Peter were sitting waiting for him. It wasn't long before Filch came running into the Great Hall.

"Do it, now!" Sirius urged Remus.

"But Dumbledore isn't even in here yet," Remus answered.

"Just do it!" Sirius urged once more.

Remus sighed and cast the spell which activated the prank. Instantly, every adult in the room, which meant all the professors, some 7th years (including the Hufflepuff Teddy), and Filch turned Red and Gold and a few fireworks went off. Filch yelled at Sirius, who quickly dived under the table and began crawling under the table, and Filch couldn't see him as he did.

Sirius laughed as he crawled under the table, thinking of the brief view of Filch he had seen. Filch could never prove it was him, if he didn't catch him right now, because by the time he could find him later, all the evidence would be gone. He would get off scotch free if he could just escape.

The three remaining Marauders laughed at the view, including Remus;Filch trying to look for Sirius under the Gryffindor table, making his escape, covered in Red and Gold, from head to toe. Many others in the Great Hall were laughing at it, and when Dumbledore entered not long afterwards, he even seemed to chuckle slightly at the view of all the professors coated in Red and Gold.

Beka was sitting with her brothers, tapping out a beat when she saw one of the pranksters run in. He'd shouted something and then another waved his wand. Next thing she knew, her twin brothers were striped in red and gold. She and her other brother had to hold them back while they tried to climb over the table to get the cunts. Beka looked at them blankly then they all were trying to get her to smile because they didn't like it when she looked at them like that. After giving them a small smile, she stood up and walked over to get this reversed. She took Mickey with her because he had the most level head out of the four. She dragged him along and then stopped at behind the laughing boys. She cleared her throat. Being a fifth year, she did have some authourity over fourth years. Another advantage was her being taller, she was already an inch shorter than Mickey, and he was a seventh year.

"Oi! Dorks! What'd you do that for? Looking for a fight or something?" Mickey said nodding his head up.

Beka stood there glaring. Most peope stayed away from her because no one liked an outcasted outcast apperently. She didn't even mess with her dark brown hair. "Cunts." she said with a grimmace. She hated these people, and them messing with her brothers didn't help their case.

Sirius laughed from under the table before he managed to run out from underneath behind Filch's back and ran from the Great Hall feeling victorious. He sure didn't want to get in trouble, and he had already seen a good amount. The Marauders promised to tell him about it later, and it was fun enough escaping from danger, and the view of Filch like that was going to haunt him forever.

"Hey, we're not dorks!" Peter squeaked from beside James. He looked like he was going to faint from fear that the Slytherins would hurt him. James pat his back, as if to reassure him nothing would happen to him.

"What did we do?" Remus asked acting dumb. He had fun in these things. They were fairly harmless, and they did give him a laugh and let him relax these days.

"I don't know what possessed you to think we of all people could do such a thing!" James replied with a laugh, "I wish we had thought of it, but no. Sorry, this time we didn't." Peter laughed at this, timidly, but James was ready just in case these stupid Slytherins tried anything. Remus wasn't worried about it. If they did, they would be stupid with Filch and every professor (now that Dumbledore had arrived) watching. They couldn't prove anything.

Beka faced the smaller boy and glared. "Can it runt." she growled. It wasn't really loud but it was loud enough for that small area to hear. She looked back at her brother who shook his head. He may have had a level head, but he did not like the colors red and gold.

Mickey chuckled. "Don't be stupid Gryffindorks. We saw you wave your wand, and your friend take off under the table. Me, my brothers, and our sister. And you're just lucky it was me who Beka dragged over. If she'd brought either of the other two, there'd be a lot more happening that you wouldn't like."

Beka glared again, standing with her hair falling in front of an eye. "Change. Them. Back." she snarled. She started to lunge at the group but Mickey had her by the shoulders.

"Woah girly. You don't want to mess with this one. She'll take all three of you in a heart beat." Mickey nodded. He was so much nicer than the others, but he didn't like it when he was messed with.

"Ha! Like we're scared of you!" James laughed standing up from the table, "Big Slytherins acting all threatening. Look around, there are plenty of professors who will punish you. Even if you do try anything and get away with it, just know the Marauders will be gunning for you." Remus stood up and tried to bring James back down to sitting.

"I'm sorry for my friend's idiocy," Remus said trying to pull James back down, but James resisted it. When Beka nearly lunged at them, Remus hopped away, and James stated stationary. However, Peter's reaction was priceless as he squeaked and nearly jumped to the next table, and nearly fell on top of the poor Hogwartians, but Remus managed to stabilize him, while James was free from Remus trying to restrain him.

"Hey, Remy, I won't take these people threatening me or my friends," James said getting a little mad, but keeping a jolly look, and overall mood. "You obviously don't know how to take a joke."

"I don't know how to change it back," Peter squeaked slowly coming back to his table with Remus. The professors and much of the Great Hall was watching. An arguement was not against the rules, but disrupting the peace was. Filch ran up to them pointing to the three boys.

"Where did he go?" Filch ordered.

"Common Room?" Remus suggested, the three Marauders knowing that Sirius was probably hiding out else where, having a jolly good laugh and having fun sending Filch on a goose chase looking for him. Filch rushed off, paying no heed to the Slytherins. The professors were ready to intervene if necessary.

"I suggest that if you don't want something like this to happen courtesy of us, which would be a greater prank, you back off," James warned with a cocky smile.

Mickey lost his grip on Beka and she glared down at the boy with a look right near hatred. She smirked and you could almost see the horns popping out of her head. She was right next to scary when it counted. "Three seconds, boy. I'd start running now."

When the little one jumped it made her all the happier. She liked to see some quivering in fear, but others it was fun to argue with. She removed the gloves from her hands. She wasn't the best fighter but she could take her brothers down pretty quick. They'd been wrestling for years. Ever since the twins were eight the four had been trying their hardest to take each other down. When Beka was nine, her mother finally gave in and let her fight. Mickey had taught her how to go on the defensive, Jack had taught her offensive and the youngest had shown her how to fight with style. None of them knew they had each taught her. She was practically a trained assassin by the time she was thirteen.

"Yeah, he might not want to do that. She could kill him. Or cause serious harm to his vital organs. Put Jack in the hospital wing for a month. And that was just messing around. She is dangerous." Mickey chuckled.

From across the room, Jack shouted, "RELEASE THE BEKA!" and started laughing. At that point everyone was watching the outcast girl stare down a Gryffindor.

"I don't have a sense of humor." she snarled. "You know what's good for that ugly little face of yours, you'll get rid of this and we'll be on our way. Don't and I'll be back with Jack."

"You don't want her to bring Jack, he's not as bad as her but he's his own kind of horrible." Mickey was trying to be reasonable. They just weren't buying into it.

"And if you want to keep those eyes at their current horrible state, you'll stand down and do what I say." Beka prodded.

"You don't scare me, Snake," James replied with a cocky smile. He could take her on, if the professors didn't intervene. Sirius was the one who did it, not him, and so how could he take the blame? Plus these idiots were the ones who came over here and began threatening him and his friends.

"Erm, if you really want to get in trouble, then be my guest," Remus stated calmly, which was the opposite of what Peter was feeling, "But I do suggest you cool your jets and we can settle this peacefully, without threats." Remus thought it was worth a try. He normally wouldn't talk of peace like that, but he desired it that way. If people could see sense. Most people normally couldn't.

"We're not scared of you!" Peter squeaked, though it was very obvious from everything that he was in fact scared, but confident at the same time that James could take them on, well, James and Remus.

Mickey grabbed Beka by her stomach and pulled her away. She started to retaliate and fight him but Mickey held her tight. He kept trying to keep her from kicking too but that in't happen. She got him in the leg and he dropped her. She had regained herself but still glared at the Gryffindorks. She whispered to her brother, "I want to duel the blind one later. Or actually fight him."

Mickey glared at her but she ingnored it. "She wants a fight later, not a duel, but an actual fist fight in the grounds." he shook his head.

Beka fake lunged in Peter's direction. She liked messing with this kid.

"You're on," James replied with a smug look, thinking he would most definitely defeat the girl. James was ever so slightly sexist at the time, not very much, but he did view most girls, besides Ginny and Lily, as weaker than him, which made him quite sure he would win in any kind of fight. James was most definitely an idiot at this time, but it was undeniable that he would eventually become a lot smarter over the years.

"No, it's not. I don't need one of you to go to the hospital wing," Remus stated.

"Don't worry, I'll go easy on her," James replied with a huge laugh, "No hospital wing needed, Moony." It was actually very recently they had adopted the nicknames, so they hadn't been completely used to using them or hearing them.

Peter squeaked and jumped back when Beka lunged at him.

Beka whispered a time to her brother and stood still with her arms crossed again.

"Right before dinner in the grounds." Mickey relayed shaking his head. He looked at the other Gryffindork, "Once you get these two going I guess there's no stopping it. You, uh, might want to choose your second."

Beka smirked and lounged a bit. Atleast one of them knew who to back down from.

"Don't chicken out now, Snake," James replied with a laugh. Remus glared at James. How could he be so stupid? He was not a stupid man, James was intelligent, but he certainly wasn't showing it. He didn't know what the girl could do, and really Remus couldn't either, but James needed to way in the facts already presented.

"Tch. Like I'll need a second. Peter will be, anyways," James stated, and when he chose Peter as his second... well... it just meant that he was extremely confident in what he was doing. Remus wanted to smack James. He knew that Peter wasn't any sort of duelist in any sense of the word. Peter was an animal guy, and a potions guy. Pretty much anything that didn't involve a wand or fighting.

"You idiot!" Remus said slapping James upside the head.

"You mean: You Genius!" James laughed.

"No, I don't," Remus answered shortly, but James simply laughed.

"Don't be late." Beka spat. Just then Jack walked over with their other brother in tow. He was trying to drag them away from it all. But he wasn't as strong as Jack.

"Who's trying to drop my assassin? Because once Beka's unleashed, there's no stopping her. She can drop you before ten seconds pass. Takes me out in about a minute but I've been fighting her for years. You? I give her twenty seconds of play, and five to take you down." Jack smirked. He knew what she was capable of but others didn't really believe it.

"Jack, do you really have to be so stupid?"

"Yes, Mickey, I do, because I know my sister like I know my own hand."

"You two really can't shut up."

Beka shook her head.

"Really? You're picking scrawny as your second? I give Beks five seconds to scare him off." Jack nodded.

"I'll take that bet," James laughed at Jack, "How about this: If this girl can beat me, Remus'll release the spell. Otherwise, you two older ones will stay like that for two weeks." Remus was still glaring at James. "Hey, Moony, you should stop that glaring, it's considered bullying. I'll be emotionally scared if you keep it up," James laughed, but Remus shook his head.

"Then be emotionally scarred," Remus stated, not smiling at his idiot friend.

"You know, Peter may get spooked easily, but he doesn't run from fights. He'll stay until the job is done... sometimes even longer..." James noted, remembering a time that Peter had gotten pretty beat up for staying in a fight longer than he should. One of Peter's good qualities was that he wouldn't give up, until he was completely and utterly defeated.

"Good luck, ever read marvel comics? She's the Black Widow of the century, but she's not Russian. Only thing wrong with it." Jack chuckled.

Mickey shook his head and so did their other brother. Why did they have to do this? Beka stood by, she wasn't one for trash talk. It was for people who didn't know how to fight. She'd done some of it when she was learning but once she realized it was all a stunt, she dropped it.

"Doesn't run? Beka, run at him again. I wanna see if he actually stands still." Jack chuckled.

Beka shrugged and started towards Peter with a devilish smile on her face. Then she lunged like a snake going after its prey.
