Tonks was walking to the Gryffindor common room after classes. Valentines day was almost over! And what had she done? Fought with her sister, put the beautiful pink lily Remus had given her in a vase with water. It was currently residing on the window sill next to her bed. It was safer there than it was in the commons area.

Anyway, back to the main topic. Tonks was walking down the hall quite hurriedly, like she was going to miss something if she didn't get there fast enough. She was carrying a box of chocolate, and a few flowers she'd gotten in Hogsmeade earlier in the day. It was a mixture of daisys, roses, tulips, and lilies. Mainly because she didn't know if he had a favorite flower, but also because she wasn't sure what else to get him. She'd even had to hide them. If she didn't, she was sure Keisha would have gotten to them and used them as her own. That wasn't allowed. But of course she'd gotten her sister flowers too! Pink, yellow and red roses because she wanted Keisha to know that no matter how many times they fought, she was her sister. And she would always love her.

Half way down the corridor she tripped over an . . . umbrella? Where had that come from? Oh whatever, she had to go. The flowers had been dropped but, they didn't look too bad, a few were bruised but she could hopefully fix that. Or maybe she'd end up setting them on fire instead . . . She fluffed them out and tried to hide the others. She got outside the common room, said hullo to the Fat Lady and waited.

"Do you need in again?" she asked.

"Oh, no, I'm just waiting for Remus to either get back, or to come out. Promised I'd give him chocolate." Tonks smiled nervously.

"Lord knows that boy doesn't need anymore chocolate. But if you need anything, anything at all dear, you let me know."

"Yes, ma'am." she chuckled and sat down. A few students looked at her like they didn't know what she was doing, but she didn't care. She even was going with the hair style Keisha always had but instead of black, it was red and pink with black on the bottom. She was going to offer to do Keisha's hair later, it wasn't like she didn't want Keisha to blend in. That would be horrible.

Oh Remus was so worried right now. He didn't want to make a fool of himself in front of Vulpe, and he didn't want to make her sister mad for him not being interested in her as much as he was in Vulpe. Though the two looked a lot the same, they were different in personality, and he knew Vulpe longer, and had already grown to like and care for her so much. Which frightened him out of his skin so very much. Not only his growing care for Vulpe had scared him, but what she had thought of him scared him as well. Sure, she said that she had called dibs on dating him, but that didn't mean that the two just planned it out to mess with his head. He didn't think Vulpe would lie to him, but who knew if she was even who she said she was, and she turned out to be a Death Eater in disguise? He trusted her and cared too deeply for her to be betrayed by him. At least his tiny wonders and paranoia would be alleviated when he finished the map, which would be really soon, and then he would see her name and know where she was, and he could find her whenever he wanted. He wasn't a stalker, don't get him wrong. But he could just picture himself staring at the map and seeing Dora Vulpe's name running around the school, imagining her everytime he saw it...

Remus scurried around the dorm. James gave him a bottle of his unopened expensive cologne, which he sprayed sparingly on him, not too strongly, he hoped. Sirius had given him some tips on how to not act (Sirius thought he was giving him tips on how to act), and Peter had given him words of encouragement. All three of them had chipped in and got him a nice valentine shirt which Sirius insisted was red, though it was inching close to pink. Remus had thanked them and looked at himself in the mirror, James gave him the thumbs up and Sirius nodded. Peter run up and gave him a hug, to which the other three laughed.

"It's not like it's a date or anything," Remus stated as Peter let go of him.

"Right," Sirius said before nearly pushing Remus down the stairs, "Don't do anything I wouldn't do!"

"Great advice," Remus replied sarcastically. As soon as Remus headed down the stairs the marauders looked at each other with a grin.

"Moony might get shagged before you," James teased Sirius.

"It's just a friends outing!" Sirius insisted looking out the door where Remus had left, almost worried.

"Don't turn into Moony," Peter stated with a laugh, which made Sirius go red and James laugh at Sirius.

Remus made his way down through the stairs and crawled through the portrait hole. Upon seeing Vulpe already there, he smiled, and crawled out.

"Sorry I don't have anything else for you..." Remus said looking at the ground seeing the many flowers and chocolate she had gotten for him while he got her one measly flower. He didn't have enough money to buy anything special for her, and he always felt bad. He wanted to get her everything that she wanted, which was part of the reason why he was scared of how much he cared for her, and make her smile and trip with him catching her. He turned towards the portrait.

"Thank you Felicity, for letting my friend come in and out," Remus said formally thanking the fat lady.

"It was no hassle, Remus," the fat lady replied with a smile, before ushering him to pay attention to Vulpe. He smiled and turned his attention back towards Vulpe.

"Er... so... where you want to go?" Remus asked.

Tonks was just kind of looking around at all the stairs. Of course she'd seen the castle several times, but mainly she'd seen the ceiling from the ground floor. Now she was looking down at the ground from one of the top floors. It looked so different. She jumped and turned around. She nearly stepped on one of her untied laces and tripped but just stumbled. She started to rub one of her pigtails and chuckled nervously. She handed him the flowers and chocolate and messed with the hem of her jeans.

"That-that's fine. You didn't even really need to get me anything, the one flower that will last is enough. These ones won't though, and you'll have to feed them. I'm not too good with herbology." she shrugged. "Well, um, I was, uh, hoping we could go for a walk? I hadn't really expected to do anything really. I was just . . . I dunno. Trying to get away from my sister?"

Remus smiled and took the presents he had brought him, opening the chocolate package, resisting the urge to tear the box open like a wild animal, and took out one chocolate with a smile and ate it. "They are amazing," Remus said licking his lips, but closing the box to try to keep the chocolate eating rage away from him right now. Out of sight, out of mind, right? "I love chocolate," Remus stated giving Vulpe a hug, "You got me the perfect present." Not just the chocolate, his friends had gotten him that before, but her company and chocolate made the perfect present in the world.

"I will treasure them forever," Remus replied, thinking that after they died, he could press them into book marks or something similar, or at least right before they died he would do so. Or something like that. "Of course," Remus said before allowing her to make the first step so he could follow her in step. "After you, madame."

"I would hope so. Best box I could find. It was nothing." Tonks smiled and hugged him. She didn't really want to let go, but she had to. She couldn't be weird. No weirdness allowed. But it was natural wasn't it? Natural for girls atleast. She blushed and smiled, "Don't mention it. You gave me a flower that will last, the least I could give you was chocolate."

"You don't have to say that. You can throw them away if you want." she shrugged. She took a step and tripped over her shoe lace. She should have seen that one coming. She squeaked as she tripped.

Yeah, it was normal to want to hug her, and never let go... He wanted to keep her with him forever, but he couldn't. He knew that he couldn't let things go too far. He was too dangerous to non-animagus. Even to his friend she was dangerous. He couldn't drag her into his condition too. But he wanted to make the moment he hugged her last forever. What was wrong with him? He had to stay focused on the dangerous creature and could never have a love life of great significance, but it was hard to keep such a mindset despite his father drilling it into his head.

"It is more than I could hope for. Chocolate, flowers, and a very entertaining young lady to spend today with," Remus replied with a smile, looking into her eyes, feeling quite content. "I will not throw away something you give to me." However, his eye contact broke when she tripped . Reacting instinctively, he grabbed her, gently, and prevented her from falling to the ground. He couldn't help but smile at her clumsiness.

Tonks felt like her insides were melting. Stop it. Stop. It. Why was she so weird around him? She wanted to beat her head with her fist. She didn't thought! That would have been really weird. Subconciously, she pushed her pigtails back. She really couldn't stand this. Something had to happen! At least before Keisha got a hold of him. Then all bets would be lost. She felt safe around him, even if it wasn't safe, that was the feeling she got. Her cheeks were probably pink, maybe red, probably matched the red heart on her shirt.

"Oh, no, you don't have to say things you don't mean. There's no point in lying, I know when I'm not welcome somewhere." she waved an airy hand. She couldn't make eye contact, not when she probably looked like a neon light up sign. "Th-thanks." she blushed. She looked at her shoe, "Maybe I should, uh, tie that." she moved her bangs from in front of her eyes.

Remus's heart felt like it was beating out of his chest. He could help but want to shout to the world what he was feeling on the inside, even if he did not even completely realize it yet. He just knew that he really cared for her, and never wanted to leave her side, and he wanted to do anything that would make her happy. He wanted to hold her, and possibly snog her to convey what he was thinking, but he couldn't. He just couldn't. Dangerous, Remus, you are dangerous, no personal entanglements like this. Remus had to convince himself out of such thoughts.

"Vulpe, I do mean it. I really want you here," Remus said before looking down at her shoe and smiled. He wanted her here more than she should know as well. Oh his hands were sweaty and he was so very nervous, it was a miracle he wasn't stuttering. "Here, I'll get it," Remus quickly bent down and tied her shoe before she could protest, before he rose back up with a smile.

"Stop being cute, you're making me red." Tonks hid her face, and smacked her hands on the air. "I'm gonna cry from your sweetness." her eyes started to water. When he tied her shoe, she looked around wide eyed. That wasn't normal. She wasn't sure if she was Cinderella or what, minus the losing a glass slipper.

Her throat was kind of closing up too, like she wasn't going to be able to speak but she had to fight it. Fight the nervousness! But she really just wanted to hold his hand and walk around and look like the happy couple they should be. But they weren't, they couldn't, she was from the future. Thirteen years in the future, it was a ways away.

"I'm sorry," Remus replied with a huge smile, feeling the terrible sense that he needed to tell her about his dangerous side effect of being the son of his father. He loved his father though, and didn't want to lose him. "Don't cry," Remus said resisting the urge to whip the tears from her eyes that were forming slightly.

Remus wanted to tell her so badly about his werewolf-ness, but he was too afraid she would run off. But if she did, it would mean that he wouldn't have to deal with these growing feelings because she would avoid him. Why did it have to be so hard to just be friends with her? It was easy with other girls, just not her. Kiesha was a person he considered a friend, but nothing like Vulpe. No offense to her. "Vulpe, can we go somewhere where others won't over hear us... I want to tell you something I've been hiding from you... and almost everyone else..." Remus stated before he could even stop himself from staying those words.

Tonks was trying not to laugh and look mad. She couldn't do it. She started laughing, she couldn't help not laughing. It was just hard for her not to look at him with out laughing when she wanted to be mad. "I'm not gonna cry from sadness, I'm going to at least start because I'm laughing too hard." she wiped right under her eyes just in case.

She kind of perked up when he said he wanted to tell her something. Automatically, she was nodding vigoursly. This could be vital. Very. Vital. She took his wrist and started to pull him down the stairs. Now where was somewhere like that? Anywhere you could find an empty classroom, the room of requirement, anywhere really. "Yeah, yeah, sure. Come on, lets go!" she giggled.

"Oh, I see," Remus said with a smile, looking back up at her. Boy, it was really hard to not hug her right now. If he were to listen to Sirius she would've already punched him. 'Listen to your feelings, not your brain, you doofus.' Oh yeah that would help the doofus out so well. At least Sirius did not know what was going on in his feelings right now. Sirius assumed that he was just like him on the inside, without a care in the world for the person he cared the most for. "I'm sorry for making you laugh so much," Remus apologized looking down again, but this time with a wide smile on his face.

"Erm, yeah..." Remus said as she drug him down the stairs, "Where are we going? Like which empty classroom or whatever?" Remus knew this castle like it was the back of his hand, which it almost seemed like it for as long as he had been working on that map. He had gotten it to the point feet showed up where people were, just not names yet.

Tonks couldn't stop laughing, if they weren't going down the stairs she would have pushed him playfully because she was a playful person. She kept going down till about two landings down. Then she stopped and looked around, "Um, where are we? I'm a bit lost now.." She scratched her head. She'd stopped laughing at least now, and was lost now.

"Well, um, now I'm not sure. I'm lost now." she looked around again. She released his wrist and tried to act cool about it. If things were like they had been, or if they were the same now as they had been where she was from, she might not have tried it. But things were different and she was going to go with it. She didn't see anything else to do. Maybe since he was going to tell her some big secret, maybe she should tell him hers. No, no, she couldn't do that.

Remus smiled widely. "It's a good thing you have me here then. I know this school better than anyone besides perhaps my other friends." Remus looked around to make sure he knew where they were, before he grabbed her hand.

"There's a room not too far from here," Remus began towards a hallway where there was an empty classroom. He was having second thoughts about this, but just being around Vulpe made him feel so great, and loved.

Tonks smiled an hid her face. She was jumping and screaming on the inside. Much like a fangirl does when they see their favourite celebrity and can find people to talk about it with. She closed her eyes and savoured the fact that he was holding her hand. If she were really crazy, she would have fainted and woken up giggling like a school girl. "If you know this school so well, why would you expect the girl who can hardly remember to tie her own shoes lead you?" She caught a quick whiff of something while he was leading, "Are you wearing cologne?" She asked.

She honestly could picture this being a movie. Not one of the cheesy romance movies, but the best cheesy romance movie ever! Because it was starring them and, uh, duh, it just would be. Only if it were a movie, they would have to change the actress who played her's hair a lot. There would be no other way to capture her. "What floor are we on exactly? And what about something to eat? I missed dinner..." She pouted as her stomach growled. She really hoped no one could hear it because it sounded awful to her.

She really wanted to tell him. To tell him about the world in thirteen years. To tell him what her and Teddy had been talking about that one day in the library. About how Teddy had pictures of the both of them from their years at school, but she really just wanted to tell him she liked him. How from the moment she met him, it was like seeing stars. Then she would come back to thinking about how she couldn't mess with the past. At some point, she was going to have to say goodbye. She wouldn't want to leave but she'd bring that flower with her. If it was still alive in her time, she would go find him. Or she'd have to wait another few years to find him. Whatever the Order of the Pheniox was, she was going to have to join. If he was there too, she would have to talk to him, get him to realise it was her. That she hadn't died. That probably would be an awkward conversation though, maybe it would be best to start over. Clean slate. New things to talk about. New memories. Even the thought made her want to cry. What if she left and he'd died when she was in school? She of course had Charlie but her and Charlie were friends, no matter how many time Mrs. Weasley said they should be something more, it wasn't going to happen. He just wasn't dating material to her.
