Overall Personality:

John is a very odd person, especially when one firsts meets him, but one gets used to him eventually. He is a very curious, very smart young man who comes off as arrogant, when he states the fact that he knows almost everything there is to know. True, he does not know everything, but he does know a lot of information, and more than others. His arrogance is usually justified, knowing most things, and he is able to work himself out of most tight corners. Due to his vast knowledge and the IQ beyond that of most people, he wants to pass on his knowledge before he passes on, though scared of death itself. He would be an idiot to deny he would eventually die, but he fears that day when it comes.

John is also a very eccentric person, who has random outbursts, and sometimes questions himself aloud. He will openly admit that he’s wrong, but he will hate every second of it. He will not give second chances to anyone, because he will not be fooled twice or more, as everyone deserves one chance, and any more will line him up for being hurt. He has very strong emotions. When he finally loves someone, he will love them so very dearly. Once a friend, always a friend, even when betrayed, while he won’t give them a second chance, he will still love them like family forever in his heart. When someone pushes him over the edge, he will lash out. When something he does not like happens, he will not stop until he is able to correct the problem. He believes in his friends, and as long as they believe in him, he will deliver.

Overall History:

John had two wonderful parents, which were both half-bloods, who loved him so very much. He first entered a muggle school, even while magical, as his parents thought it wise to give him friends to play with, as he seemed to be a very reclusive boy. But he didn’t really make any friends, as he spent most of his days reading and studying and gathering as much knowledge as he could from the moment he could read. However, when he was just five years old, he and his parents were going to a play when a robber came and tried to rob them. Little Johnny boy was not happy, and accidentally killed the robber in a fit of rage, before seeing that his parents had died as well in his outburst. He grieved over them for along time, still not over it, and never having told a soul about what happened that night. He had a feeling that Dumbledore knew from the way he looked at him later on, but the two never talked about it. To prevent being sent to an orphanage, John ran, finding himself in London, where he managed to steal enough money to pay to be in a room in the Leaky Cauldron, pretending his parents were with him, but upstairs telling him to pay the people for rent.

John stole, scavenged, and begged, getting by, all the while he found himself burying himself into books. When he went to Hogwarts, he began coping with everything, and soon became an outgoing person with those he considered his friends, whom he let close to him, though no one got anywhere near him telling about his parents, and his past. Most of his friends think he had both his parents who were loving, and sent him letters, which were actually from the Leaky Cauldron saying the rent had to be paid, which he managed to pay, knowing that he needed to pretend his parents were still there so they wouldn’t send him to an orphanage, which he never wanted to do, because he knew about those orphanages and the evils they brought, having been told it by his parents. The young Ravenclaw attended Hogwarts for years, him always pretending he was the doctor in Doctor Who, wishing to be him, but in his sixth year, one of his friends disappeared along with other friends and people he didn’t know as well. He felt alone again. He hated being alone. Instead of going back into his reclusive behavior as he had when he was a child, he further exaggerated his eccentricities, having been a part of him forever, just nor always showing.

John went on with life, graduating the next year as the top of his class, and moving on to other things. At first he traveled for awhile. He learned things about places others did not go before, deep into the Amazon, down a large chasm that led deep into the world, places said to be haunted, and justified those occurrences with logic. However, within about 2 and a half years, not long after he turned 20, he went to Hogwarts wishing to teach at the school. As he headed up to the Headmaster’s office, he touched a rock, lost his balance, and continued on, thinking it was odd. He talked with Dumbledore, and then understood what happened. Dumbledore offered him the job of teaching DADA, as Dumbledore had to be teaching it this year because no one would take the job. John agreed, and now that is where he is today. He arrived just the other day, so people have heard rumors about him or seen him at the table as the new DADA professor, but not yet classes. He is quite excited to teach.
