“I dare say that you have a house hold name,
but for our new readers, will you inform us once
more what your parents named you?”
Harry Jame Potter. Aunt Petunia called it a nasty common
name at one point, but I like my name. My middle name
is my father’s name, and I am quite proud of him. Potter, I think
is the most widely known part of my name, given my parentage and
the famousness the name carries after Voldemort tried to kill me.
“Remind us again when you were born? I can
never get enough of the story surrounding
your birth.”
I don’t really know much about it; My parents are dead
and my aunt and uncle don’t like to talk about it. I figure that
I born in Godric’s Hollow. A year later, I survived an attack from
Voldemort.
“Okay, be honest here. Which are you in to
more: guys or dolls? Don't worry, our lips
are sealed.”
Well, I’m sure I like girls. Had a crush on Cho for a while, actually.
That ended last year though. I mean, I haven’t found myself
attracted to any man.
“Alright, on to the good stuff. What do you do
in your spare time? Any favorite past times?”
Quidditch is such fun! I love riding on my broom and feeling the
air through my hair. It makes me feel free. Otherwise, I play
chess with Ron while Hermione watches. I guess you could say
my tendency to get in trouble is a pastime, as it does happen in
my free time. I’ll ignore Hermione’s words of wisdom and put off
my homework until she makes me do it, which is a bit fun to do with
Hermione’s reaction to it. I like hanging out with my friends, which
includes Ron, Hermione, Neville, Dean, Seamus, Luna and a few others, as
well as a few others.
“Tell me: what are your favorite things in the
entire world? Those special things that just
make you want to smile?”
Quidditch, my friends, staying out of trouble (which has rarely
happened to me), and seeing my friends smile. I want to make
them happy, and do my best to protect them. And actually, I’ve
found that lately just being around my best friend’s sister has made
me very happy. I’ve been watching her since I got her from afar, but
it makes me a bit jealous that she’s with my father. I mean, that’s just
weird, and dangerous for her to do.
“And sadly we all know that there are things
that we just can't stand. What are yours?”
Do you even have to ask? Death Eaters, obviously, as well as Voldemort
and Bellatrix Lestrange. I will kill her if I have the chance and avenge Sirius.
I can’t stand having to go back to the Dursley’s house every summer where they
try to keep me away from them. They won’t ever believe me over Dudley, which is
annoying, but I only have to deal with them until I go to Hogwarts at least. But
sometimes even that is hard to deal with.
“Any short or long term goals? Where do
you see yourself five years? In ten? How
do you plan to get there?”
Voldemort will be gone, and peace will be restored… if I can get
back to my own time. That’s all I can see before me. I’m probably
going to die, but I hope to at least take Voldemort down with me
in the end.
“What makes you quake in your boots?
If you had to pick one thing that scared
you the most, what would it be?”
Death, actually. I don’t want to die, and thinking about how
I probably will die scares the hell out of me. “Neither can live
while the other survives.” I can’t live if he survives and he can’t
live while I survive. So, we both will die? That is what I’m afraid of.
But, Dumbledore said that it wasn’t not fearing anything that made one
brave, but facing those fears.
“Is there a significant other in your life? How
do you do with relationships?”
I was once in a relationship with Cho Chang, but that ended
badly. I have a crush on Ginny, Ron’s sister, I think. But I dunno
what I’ll do about that. She is dating my father. Which just seems
very wrong to me, with this whole time travel thing. I’m actually
jealous of my father. Who would’ve thought?
“Now, you know that we adore you, but let's
talk about some other people for a little bit. A
little bird told me that you have some pretty
well known parents. Who are they?”
My Mum was Lily Potter, she’s a fourth year now. She’ll be a fifth year soon
though. She was such a great witch, from what people told me. She gave
her life for me to live, and has protected me even though she is dead ever since
then. Dad was James Potter, also a fourth year this year, almost a fifth year. He’s
dating Ginny Weasley right now, and I don’t really approve of it. But Ginny would just
get mad at me if I wasn’t going to be nice about it. I do care for her a lot… anyways, Dad
was a Marauder in school with his three other friends. I dunno if I should warn my parents
about Voldemort and keep them alive. I would love to have parents, but it could mean bad
things.
“Any other important people in your family?
Did you parents have any other children?”
None really. I guess the Dursleys could be important, but they
just let me live in their house. Been avoiding me recently, which
is very nice.
“How about pets? How many do you have?”
I had Hedwig, but I don’t think she’s come back in this time.
I hope Ron will feed her until I get back, unless he comes here
too… I hope she’s ok.
“Okay, you have to have known that we were
going to ask. What's your biggest and best
kept secret? I won't tell.”
Right now it’s that I am here. But that will soon end. I plan on
emerging and joining back into school really soon. So I guess it’s
my future and the prophecy. Only Hermione and Ron know the prophecy.
“Ok, so who are you loyal to? Dumbledore's
Army, The Dragon's Fire, The Order of the Phoenix,
The Death Eaters, or none of them?”
The DA, I did help found it, yes?
“Interesting! Now finally, the last question.
What time are you from, Harry's or the Marauders'?”
My own, 1996, 6th year. I’ll be posing as a relative to James, some distant cousin
that had been forgotten about.
