Perrie was in the Slytherin common room listening to every other Slytherin talk about summer holiday. Of course it wouldn't be their fifth year missing from their time and not being able to see their families ever again. If only she knew someone who understood. Gryffindors wouldn't speak to her, Hufflepuffs avoided her, and Ravenclaws ignored her completely. It was so hard to find someone to talk to. And it wasn't like she was rude or anything to anyone, no, she was actually really nice. Everyone actually wondered how she got in Slytherin instead of Hufflepuff. She just had big dreams and knew how to get them was all.

She started to sing a little.

She hadn't exactly figured out all the words to the song yet, but she was getting there. She wanted it to be her first single once she hit the big time. And she was going to hit the big time.

Ginny wandered into the Slytherin common room, bored. James was off with the marauders and she didn't really have anyone else to hang out with. She heard a girl singing over by the fire and wandered her way over. "Pretty song" she said quietly, "did you write it?" She sat down near the girl, and looked at her. She seemed like she was a sweet girl, and she was very pretty. "I'm Ginny Weasley," James Potter's notorious new girlfriend," she chuckled slightly.

Perrie stopped singing and looked wide eyed at the girl. She slid down in her chair and looked back at the fire. Maybe that was another reason she didn't have many friends. She was horribly shy and didn't much speak to anyone. She nodded when asked if she wrote the song. "I-I wrote it about something my mum told me when I was seven. It was one of the last very important things I can remember her telling me." Every one here thought her parents had died the previous year. No one knew she had come at the beginning of her first year. She wasn't even sure how she ended up in the nineteen-seventies. It was just a big mass of confusion in her mind. "Your the one the seventh years are all calling a traitor. And I idolise you. I could never be so bold and brave." She muttered. "I'm Parris Pond. Or Perrie, as everyone likes to call me."

"Huh, never thought anybody would idolize me... but it's nice to know, " she smiled sweetly at the girl. "What happened to your mom? Did she die or are you guys just separated for some reason?" Ginny could understand the second part... she'd been here for most of a year now and she hated being away from her family, though James almost made up for it. She tilted her head, studying the girl, it was obvious she was rather shy, which was a strange trait for a Slytherin, but she seemed to have ambition in her, Ginny saw that in her eyes while she had been singing. Overall, she seemed like a girl Ginny would get along with rather well. "It's nice to meet you, Perrie."

"Everyone else pretty much hates you. A friend of mine is the one who told. She's a bit of an attention hog, and a bit of a slut but I'm no one to judge. She is my friend after all. And she now has a long term prankster boyfriend. And I'm still single." Perrie nodded, sullenly. She hung her head. No one had really asked her that before. "We were seperated a few years ago. I haven't been able to see her since. I don't really want to talk about it." She messed with her hair and started to mutter to herself. Of course there was one boy she liked but it was her best friend's brother and she was pretty sure he didn't like her so she never asked and just kinda hid in the background. "It's, um, nice to meet you too Ginny. I'm sure we'll get on all right. Just make sure not to go after any guy I think is cute. Then I'll have to hurt you. There's nothing better than revenge in my book."

Ginny chuckled, "I'm set on guys right now. James is my one and only, " though she was a Slytherin here, Ginny never followed the whole slut or whore reputation that went with most Slytherins. She thought it went with her intense hatred of Draco Malfoy, the Slytherin man whore. "But I hope that we can be friends too. And does your friend happen to date Sirius, but hide it from most people?" Ginny had been paying attention to Jay's friends and saw the way Stacy and Sirius acted around one another. They tried to hide their feelings, but it was rather obvious the tension that they held.

"I actually have a crush on my BFB but he doesn't like me. And besides I'd get ridiculed even more than I already do. He's a Huffle." Perrie shrugged. She shouldn't even like Cas, he wasn't from her time and she could really screw things up if she did. She should stick with John, even though here he was her professor. Acca-awkward. "I don't know she didn't say his name. But I kinda guessed, she's been canceling dates left and right. I just figured because she hasn't been getting as cranky when she stumbles onto one of their pranks. She used to get furious. It was kind of funny actually." Perrie wasn't sure whether she should laugh or what.

Ginny looked at Parris, "if you're already ridiculed, as you put it, dating a Huffle wouldn't change anything. And besides, I can easily move the ridiculing from you to me. I'm the one dating the "ultimate Gryffindor." She chuckled, "and I don't know Stacy well, but I can tell that she likes Sirius and he likes her, even though they act like they hate each other. She glances at him too much and he tries to act even manlier and sluttier when she's around." She smiled, "so, other than him being a Huffle, what's stopping you from dating this friend of yours? And how do you know he doesn't like you?"

"Oh it'd only make it worse. Trust me. I only get made fun of because I'm shy and quiet. If I actually wanted to, I could mak them all fear me instead but I think it's better to have have people like you for you instead of who they think you are." Perrie nodded. She then shook her head, "No I couldn't have you do that, no it'd be rude. Oh my gosh, listen to me, I sound like a Hufflepuff..." She dramatically drug her hands down her face and laughed. "Well, Stacey is naturally a slut so, they kind of fit each others bill. Still don't see why everyone likes her. She's quite mean to other girls." Perrie looked at the ground, "You have to promise you won't tell anyone what I'm about to tell you."

"Maybe so, but now you've got me to take some of it," Ginny smiled at her, "and don't even say I shouldn't, because I haven't cared how people treat me in years. I've had a rough childhood, some stupid teenagers can't do anything to me." She didn't care what people did to her, or how badly they treated her, as long as her friends were treated well. She guessed it came from having so many brothers, having been used by Voldemort her first year, and all the years of fighting beside Harry. "Now, what secret is this? I promise I will not tell anyone, including James." She figured she'd add the last part because most people did not include their boyfriend/girlfriend in the 'not telling anyone.'
