Severus had been minding his own business, studying outside. He supposed that was his first mistake. Being out in the open. Sev had been writing his essay over Phoenix, for DADA, when who would've guessed, the band of bumbling bamboos approached him.
"Snivelly! How good of you to be here!" James said approaching the Slytherin with his wand drawn. Severus looked up at the boy and pulled out his own wand, but he was just a bit too slow.
"What? We're just going to have a bit of fun!" Sirius said, Severus noticing the shaggy haired boy had his wand out too. Remus was hanging around the back, not doing anything, which was part of the problem he had with Remus, though appreciated he didn't help out in matters like this.
"Leave me alone, Potter," Severus sneered, standing up, after setting his essay to the side. He looked towards his wand, which wasn't far, and he probably could reach it if he distracted them just slightly.
"Peter, get Snivellus's wand," Sirius ordered. The weaker and timid boy did just as Black told him to, and Severus spat at James's feet.
"Whoa! Don't you do that!" James said levitating the defenseless Severus into the air.
"Like I will take orders from you, Potter," Severus retorted struggling through the levitation charm, trying to get down. James waved his wand again, and Severus fell to the ground quickly.
"What would be the fun in leaving you alone?" Sirius inquired with a laugh.
"I'll let you keep your faces on," Severus responded, standing up, and before they could respond, he tackled Peter, grabbing his wand, and casting a shield charm, blocking a spell heading his way.
"We're just spreading fun!" Sirius insisted with a wicked smile on his face. He really hated Snape; he reminded him too much of his family. Since Sirius couldn't punish his family for it, Severus was getting the raw end of the deal on that.
"I'm leaving," Severus stated, not taking his eyes off the Marauders, his wand at the ready.
"Not if I have anything to say about it," James said, casting a scorgify, at Severus, and not managing to protect himself against it, he fell victim to the spell. Sirius approached him to take his wand again, but Severus managed to cast his non-verbal spell, Levicorpus, on the boy, before turning and running away. He heard Sirius yelling at him, but Severus didn't care. That is, until he was hit by a tripping jinx from Potter, and he tripped right into the wall. He collapsed to the ground, with blood trailing from his head.
"Prongs! What did you do?" Remus shouted running up to Severus.
"I didn't think it'd hurt him! I just thought he'd fall to the ground!" James replied running up to Severus as well.
"He needs the hospital wing, now!" Remus urged, taking his wand out and levitating the unconscious Severus Snape. Peter followed the three towards the castle.
"Don't leave me!" Sirius shouted, just as the spell wore off and he fell to the ground. He ran after the group.
It wasn't long before the group all arrived at the Hospital Wing. Madame Pomfrey yelled at them, but took Severus and laid him on one of the beds, casting a few spells.
"Oh a mild concussion... I'll have to keep him over night," Madame Pomfrey muttered before turning towards the four Marauders, "What did you do to him?" James and Sirius looked at each other, and Peter cowered in the back. Remus stepped forward, though hesitant.
"We were in the area, and we passed Severus. James wanted to play with Severus, but he ran, and tripped over something, hitting the wall," Remus lied with a sigh. James raised an eyebrow at Remus. Him, lying, for them, during Snivellus Stalking? That was as rare as Sirius or James being nice to Severus, especially Sirius.
"I guess since it's you, Remus," Madame Pomfrey sighed, looking back at Severus, "He'll be back in school tomorrow." Sirius was about to comment, but knowing he would, Remus glared at Sirius, who shut up at that.
"We'll be going now..." Remus stated, and the group of four hurried from the hospital wing. Madame Pomfrey sighed something about 'those darned boys', before returning to Severus, and smiling at him. He'd wake up soon. Word would probably get to the boy's friends and they'd visit him, so he wouldn't be lonely.
Severus was laying in the hospital wing bed, slowly gaining consciousness, but the splitting headache, Madame Pomfrey didn't treat yet as helping a headache wouldn't do anything if he was unconscious at the time. He didn't open his eyes, knowing where he was, wondering what he was going to do or say about it. He didn't remember what had happened to cause his accident. He suspected Potter and his band of misfits.
