Stacy was standing on the steps on the sixth floor. She had nothing to do anyway, and she wanted someone to go into the common room before her. Sirius probably rigged it to do something to hair again. She even had to wash her mouth out after her hair was fixed. She'd kissed him to get him to change her hair color, that was a mistake she wasn't sure she regretted. So many times she'd beaten her head on a wall because she didn't know what was wrong with her head. She couldn't fall in love, if she did she wouldn't be ms. Popularity any more. She was angry at the though.

She looked down the steps only to see Lily Evans coming closer. She liked the girl, she was smart and she probably be able to get Sirius to do something quicker than Stacy could. Of course it was because she had Potter wrapped around her little finger, other wise, Stacy wouldn't be friends with her, "Oi! Lily! Over here!" She called.

Lily heard her name being shouted from the stairwell as she was heading upstairs from having gotten a snack in the kitchen. She looked up and saw Stacy, one of her year mates who spent a lot of time with Sirius... she groaned inwardly. Most often when Stacy went searching her out it meant Sirius had done something that she needed Lily's help with. 'That stupid cocky arrogant bastard,' she thought to herself, hating the friend of her secret crush. "Oh, hey, Stacy, what's up?"

"Nothing really. Just wanted to chat. Am I not allowed to have friends like you?" Stacy smirked. She did consider Lily a friend, but they didn't have much in common. "Well, there is something. I'm just not sure how I feel about saying it out loud." She'd rehearsed saying in her head but now she was afraid. What if she was thought badly of? She wouldn't be able to take it. Her sisters had gotten a great reputation and she had to withhold it.

Lily cocked her head to the side, "what is it?" she asked the girl. They had a very strange friendship. Although not terribly close, they did get along rather well and knew some secrets about each other. For instance, Stacy was the first to guess that Lily had a crush on James, though they both knew James was far to cocky right now for anything to happen with him. "And of course you can have friends like me, you just usually need help with a prankster issue everytime you intentionally seek me out," she chuckled. "Not that I mind, stopping one of Sirius's pranks is just what that arrogant guy needs."

Stacy let out a deep breath and looked around. She pulled Lily to the side of the hall. She needed a wall to beat her head on. "You have to promise not to tell anyone." She said trying to keep from stress crying. "I-I kissed Sirius. I don't even know why I did." She rubbed under her eyes in case she was going to start crying and her mascara would run. She could never find water proof mascara. "Well, you were the first person I saw. Anyway, you're smart and they listen to you. They don't listen to me. Even after I step on their toes." She bit her lip. She really did like Lily, she considered her a better friend than she most of her friends.

Lily stared at her friend in shock. "You kissed him?" she whispered, truly surprised. It took her a second, but then she realized how distressed Stacy was. "Relax, don't freak out, okay?" Lily tried to calm her down, "things like this happen, it's nothing to cry over. Why are you so freaked out, anyway?" She thought about it for a second and realized, she didn't really dislike the idea too much. Stacy and Sirius would make a good couple, they would balance each other out. However, she wasn't going to tell her friend this, Stacy was obviously too overworked about it as it was.

"And his kissed me back. Oh God, what are my sisters going to say?" Stacy started to pull her hair, "How can I stay calm? I'm going to be in so much trouble." She kept rubbing right under her eyes, "We need to get somewhere where no one will see me. I look horrible when my mascara runs.. Who am I kidding, I look good either way." She breathed, "I'm freaking out because I'm supposed to hate him. But we have a date after dinner, I kinda want to skip and just hide. I don't want to change. I don't want to be like the rest of them." She was trying not to hyperventilate.

Lily looked at her friend before smacking her on the top of the head. "Calm down." She looked at Stacy, "did you ever think that Sirius will have the same problem? He's the cool guy player in school, he can't be tied down to some girl he's supposed to hate. So, you guys act the same during the day and hang out the same way you do now, then have dates and stuff late in the evenings. No one will ever know!" She smiled at Stacy, "that way you can beat him up when you have to and kiss him when you want to."

"Watch the hair," Stacy whined. She didn't like her hair being touched. "Lily you don't understand, he pushes my buttons and then... I dunno. Just what do I do? I don't want to not be super pretty anymore, do you know what love does to veela? It reduces their charm. It makes the lose everything. I already lost my mother. I'm not going to lose anything else." She said trying to regain herself. "We don't hang out. I'll run into him on accident and he'll be the ass he is." She stated. "I have to make him jealous though, it's easy to do but he does the same thing." She shrugged, "Simple as it is, it's really annoying."

Lily shrugged, totally lost. "I don't know, Stace," she really didn't. She had never had much luck with relationships, and Sirius was a foreign concept to her. "I didn't know that love made a veela lose her charm... I thought that the charm existed because love existed and any love would just further the charm?" She was totally confused. Veelas were one thing she didn't know much about. "And how would you make him jealous? He ignores you when you're off with other guys."

Stacy started to hit her head on the wall. If one of the smartest kids didn't know what to do, she was screwed. She started walk with Lily again. She couldn't do anything about what'd happen. "It makes her charm not as strong. People aren't as attracted to her as they are normally. That's why I am trying not to fall in love." She shrugged, "Probably but it does take a lot of work." Stacy chuckled, it turned into a derisive laugh and she smirked, a small bit of hatred burning in her eyes. "There's always ways to push his buttons. Some times it's family, other times its friends but is never go near James."

Lily shrugged, "I don't really know anything about Sirius, so I can't really help. All I know is that you shouldn't start thinking about love, you're only fourteen." She looked at her friend, "and if you know what to do, then why are you asking for my help?" She shook her head at her friend, "you should know I never understand anything that relates to that bastard... he's too complex and annoying."
