[Gabriel Michael Cavaliere]

Gabe sat in a chair by the fire, holding his little daughter so that he could give her a bottle. Brielle was in class, so Gabe had the kids. Julius was in a cradle by the chair; he always slept better than his sister. Having kids was a full-time job, definitely. They were lucky that Gabe and Brielle had stayed together; he didn't know if either of them could have raised the twins by themselves. They were only fifteen. Anyway, he wasn't sure if he wanted to live in a world without Brielle. Two more years, and they could get married. He was counting the days.

In this time, Brielle and her kid sister Eliza who had also come back in time were two of only three Germans in the school. The Eastern Bloc still lied beyond the Berlin Wall. It was crazy. Gabe was used to going to school with kids from all over. At least Eliza was around, though; she helped with the twins a lot. She seemed to really love being an aunt. Gabe's sister, Seline, had also loved it, but she was in the future that Gabe, Bri and Eliza had come from, so was Gabe's twin brother Damien.

He missed his siblings, and his mother. And seeing his dad alive was painful.

Hearing noise behind him, his head shot up on instinct. He didn't want anything to happen to his kids.

Remus Lupin had the day of classes off because of severe injuries he received last night by... falling down the stairs... that was his story at least. He had a fresh new scar that showed on his neck that went down all the way to his foot, but he couldn't hide the showing part of the scar. And so, he just told those who didn't know that he was just very accident prone. He came from the Hospital Wing after not too long, without Madame Pomfrey's permission, but that was because he always did that, and she let him as long as he wasn't still hurt. She probably would prefer him to spend the night, but he always was able to make it so she would allow him out early.

Remus entered the common room, and headed towards a chair near the fire, next which his books here, and he sat down, relieving himself of the pain of standing because of the terrible night before. He pulled out an essay that was due today in class, and opened his DADA book to help him with it. Nights like the one before did not happen that often. However, out of the corner of his eye, he saw a nearby boy he hadn't really met before with a young child.

"Hello," Remus greeted the young man rubbing his neck, "I haven't seen you around very much... If you don't mind me asking, who are you?"

Gabe relaxed. It was just Remus Lupin; he wasn't as annoying as the rest of the Marauders. No. Annoying wasn't the word...just disruptive. Very disruptive. It wasn't fucking funny when they woke up Lex and Julius. Gabe had scratched the living hell out of James Potter a few times, too. For some reason, the jerk was always trying to pick Gabe up. It wasn't appreciated at all.

He smiled at the younger boy and placed Lex in the cradle beside her brother.

"You've seen me," he pointed out just before shifting into his cat form, how he usually stayed. Easier to get around.

He shifted back and smiled sheepishly, rubbing the back of his head.

"I'm Gabe. I transferred here this year; not so good with crowds," he admitted.

Remus nodded realizing who he was. He felt like an idiot for not knowing, but it was probably because the boy was a year older than he was. Remus smiled at Gabe and felt a tinge of guilt for some of the pranks his friends had pulled, including once when they woke up the kids, though James felt the sting of that.

"Sorry, I didn't realize..." Remus replied with a small innocent smile on his face, "Sorry about my friends; they just like to have fun, and their fun is loud..." He was tired of making excuses for them. They were just thm, and he wouldn't want them anyway else, because they were just them, who accepted him and treated him like a brother, more than he could ask from anyone else

"Not good with crowds myself, usually I try to blend in, though with friends like mine, it can be hard. Though class is going, why aren't you in class... if you don't mind me asking, I don't want to pry," Remus wondered, having a feeling it had to do with his kids. Gabe as a young father afterall, but he seemed like a good chap either way, just like most people he met, besides the crazy ones and those who were Death Eater sympathizers. It was hard to blend in when he had the Marauders as friends and now a Metamorphagus as a girlfriend.

He didn't mind pranks. Honestly, Gabe and his sort of sister-in-law Eliza played a lot of them. He just didn't have the time he once had. It took a lot to raise twins, especially since one of them was a Metamorphagus...whose hair was now brown. That was a good thing; it had been red when he put her in the cradle, which was the color it turned when she was about to cry. At least there was a warning system with little Lexi.

"It's all good, man. I understand. My friends back home are a rowdy bunch, too," he laughed. "I take my classes at night," he added. "Their mother, a Ravenclaw named Brielle Beilschmidt, is in day classes. That way one of us can always be with the kids."

Remus couldn't help but think that the twins that Gabe was raising were very cute, and seemed just a hint similar to Tonks and her sister, one Metamorphagus and one not, though with his girlfriend, it was different as they were identical twins otherwise. Either way, Remus did like kids, he wanted to eventually be a father, just not so soon. And anyways, he would have to tell Vulpe, as he was supposed to call her when others were around to keep her cover, that that him having a child would be dangerous given his situation. But they weren't that serious at the moment, so he was able to just keep that tidbit of information secret. He didn't want any child of his suffering the same way as he had, having to lie and pretend things were alright, when they weren't. His mother was "sick" all the time, on her deathbed, and his imaginary aunts and uncles died every so often too, it was really hard making it so people wouldn't know what he was, and still believable, so he wouldn't be treated like some of the other werewolves he had heard stories about, and of course, not turn into a monster like the werewolf who had changed him into the monster he was.

"Oh, ok," Remus replied with a slight nod, "Dumbledore is usually really nice about things like that. If you ever need any help, you know, you two want to go somewhere one day together, I would be willing to watch over them at some point. Since you two are still at the beginning of your relationship, it is important to spend time together... At least Mum says things like that all the time." She did when he had sent an owl to her about Vulpe, saying that even later in a relationship at the point of kids, time together is very important in keeping things together and happy. It was also a part of what his parents were facing at the moment, because his dad was always gone and busy while his mum slowly went a little off the deep end.

This kid seemed nice. Maybe Gabe would talk to Brielle about taking him up on that offer; they hadn't had a chance to hang out in a while. Their relationship was still pretty strong, of course, because they saw each other at various points throughout the day and on weekends, but a date every now and then would be nice. That wasn't to say that Gabe regretted the twins, either, because he didn't. He loved his kids, even though they hadn't exactly been born at an opportune part of his life. He liked being a dad very much, thank you, and he figured that he and Bri were doing alright.

"We usually get her sister Eliza to watch them. She's a really tall seventh year Gryffindor, long dark hair, German, kind of quiet," Gabe rattled off a description of Eliza. The time paradoxes involved in a fifteen-year-old Brielle being around at the same time as a seventeen-year-old version of her kid sister still gave him headaches, but he couldn't deny that Eliza had grown into a very responsible person. She was good with kids. "But I'll definitely mention something to Bri; Eliza needs a break every once in a while. Grazie for the offer."

Remus nodded, remembering the tall seventh year he was talking about. Well, he didn't know the mum had a sister, let alone an older one. He really didn't know these new transfers too very well, even after a year with them. Really, he was shy one; it was James and Sirius that seemed to get along with a lot of other people outside of their group of four. He and Peter were the more shy of the group, and were alike in several ways, though different in many others. He was more like Peter, and felt closer to Peter, despite his tendency to become a little bit too happy when James and Sirius were 'impressive'. The main point, out of the group of four, it was really just Lily and Vulpe that he was close to.

"I'd just not be able to do it when my Mum gets sick... or something else happens to someone in my family," Remus said as a disclaimer, as he couldn't trust himself during that week leading up to the moon, because his senses seemed to heighten, but control over instincts decreased, "Otherwise, I'm pretty much free all the time. I'll be sure to keep them safe from my friends... they have good hearts and intentions, they wouldn't hurt them, of course. But they are idiots sometimes... anyways, pretty much anytime is good with me, if Bri agrees. Always glad to help."

He wondered if he should maybe introduce Remus to Eliza...? She had, like, no friends outside of that busybody Juliette and, of course, Emilia of the Land of Headaches and Riddles. Oh, wait. There was Gillian, but he didn't count. Gillian didn't even count as a full person, let alone a friend; Gabe had decided within minutes of meeting that guy that not only did he dislike him, he disapproved of him dating Eliza, even though she was older than Gabe which made being disapproving not his place. Too bad, he did it anyway, and Bri agreed with him. At least he wasn't alone. Fifteen-year-old Gabe didn't realize it, but he'd disapproved very much of Viktor Krum in Eliza's time, too, although he wouldn't be shocked if someone told him that.

Perhaps he could be just a little judgmental sometimes.

"That's fine," Gabe reassured him. "Family's important; I totally understand where you're coming from. Anyway, Bri and I don't go out much, never really did."
