Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy
36 years
“I dare say that you have a house hold name,
but for our new readers, will you inform us once
more what your parents named you?”
My name is Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy. Really, I only know
my middle name comes from my great grandfather, I believe.
I suppose my first name sounded cool to my parents. Go ahead
and ask them what it means. I come from a family that was once
steeped in pure blood supremacy, but when my father left the Death
Eaters, and joined the Resistance, our family really changed. Grandfather
would be highly upset to see how far we have come in just two generations.
“Remind us again when you were born? I can
never get enough of the story surrounding
your birth.”
September 31st. It was fairly normal, other than the fact that
Voldemort arrived later that day and told my father that I better
not get in the way of business. Mom was angry at this and really
my birth was what began my parents down the road to joining
the Resistance.
“Okay, be honest here. Which are you in to
more: guys or dolls? Don't worry, our lips
are sealed.”
Oh yeah, guys all the way.
Not.
I’m married, happily, to Ace. And if that
doesn’t answer your question, I feel sorry
for you.
“Alright, on to the good stuff. What do you do
in your spare time? Any favorite past times?”
I don’t have free time. I spend almost all my time with
my family, or on missions or dealing with disputes within
the Knights. Or fighting with the Potters. There is a reason Malfoys
and Potters aren’t supposed to get along, been like that for centuries.
To think I thought I could break the chain with Rose. Pfft. That turned
out really well. I suppose I like to watch Ace on her broom fly around.
I suppose when I can, it’s nice to watch the stars at night.
“Tell me: what are your favorite things in the
entire world? Those special things that just
make you want to smile?”
Ace. Primarily. And my kids, just about as much. The Knights. How
strong they are, despite the promises of the Templars to let them live
a life without Voldemort. I really love it when Ace cooks. The food is
delicious. That’s why I married her. Well… not really. I married her for
several reasons.
“And sadly we all know that there are things
that we just can't stand. What are yours?”
The Potters, specifically those in the Templars. Namely? Albus and James.
And Rose. She broke my heart and crushed it into pieces. Ace was the only
one to be able to pick up the pieces. Rose said that she didn’t care if this her
never existed, because she hated this life. I mean, yeah, it’s a tough life, but
you can’t just go changing history! I wouldn’t be me if my father didn’t turn
to the Resistance. Also, I can’t stand when Ace and I fight. She usually forgets,
but I never do. And it’s not because she wants to forget either. Don’t like the
Death Eaters and Voldemort and pure blood supremacists, they are who we fight
against, even the Templars.
“Any short or long term goals? Where do
you see yourself five years? In ten? How
do you plan to get there?”
I want to go home, and live my life with my family. Have
Voldemort gone and the world return to how it was before
the tyrant came into power. Allow my kids to know Hogwarts,
like I never was able to, know how it is to live outside of fighting.
“What makes you quake in your boots?
If you had to pick one thing that scared
you the most, what would it be?”
I… I am afraid of this me never existing. That the Templars will
succeed and I no longer exist as me. That the Ace I know ceases
to exist. Our kids to no longer be a part of history. That is what I
fear the most.
“Is there a significant other in your life? How
do you do with relationships?”
I used to have a very long term relationship with Rose Weasley,
but that ended when I left the Resistance to form the Knights.
And then I met Ace. And fell in love with her. Married her, and now
we have four beautiful kids.
“Now, you know that we adore you, but let's
talk about some other people for a little bit. A
little bird told me that you have some pretty
well known parents. Who are they?”
Draco and Astoria Malfoy. Pretty big shots. Draco led the Resistance
with Harry Potter and Astoria was a mother to most of the kids, especially
those that became orphans. But they died a few years ago. Dad died in battle,
and Mom caught a bad case of the pneumonia and died from it because we
couldn’t cure it.
“Any other important people in your family?
Did you parents have any other children?”
I’m any only child. Mom and Dad were too caught up in fleeing and
dealing with the war. They didn’t want to bring another child into a
world filled with war.
“How about pets? How many do you have?”
And Irish Wolfhound named Dublin. Ace loves him. And he’s a really
good dog. Helps Ace around if she forgets something.
“Okay, you have to have known that we were
going to ask. What's your biggest and best
kept secret? I won't tell.”
Why would I tell you? I don’t tell my secrets to anyone. Hmph.
I guess I have to. Fine. My biggest secret is
“Ok, so who are you loyal to? Dumbledore's
Army, The Dragon's Fire, The Order of the Phoenix,
The Death Eaters, or none of them?”
The Knights, of course. I founded them. I lead them.
“Interesting! Now finally, the last question.
What time are you from, Harry's or the Marauders'?”
